Power Electrical Engineer

Role Description The Power Electrical Engineer (Solar PV Systems) is a full-time, on-site role based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This role is responsible for designing and optimizing electrical systems for solar PV installations, including power distribution, inverter configurations, and grid interconnection. Daily tasks include preparing detailed electrical drawings, performing system calculations, reviewing technical specifications, and supporting EPC teams during design, procurement, and construction phases. The engineer will collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure compliance with local codes, international standards, and Huawei technical requirements, while troubleshooting electrical issues during commissioning and operation. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, contributing to cost and performance optimization, and supporting customer presentations and technical reviews.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with solid understanding of core electrical principles and safety standards.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Power Systems, including experience with solar PV system design, grid integration, and system modeling.
  • Candidates should possess skills related to Power Distribution, including LV/MV distribution design, protection coordination, and cable sizing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with solar PV projects, EPC environments, and relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PV design tools, electrical calculation software).
  • Knowledge of international and regional electrical codes and standards applicable to solar and grid-connected systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
  • Professional certification or licensing in electrical engineering is an advantage.
